THE HONEST HANDYMAN LLC

SERVICE AGREEMENT
 

This Service Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between The Honest Handyman LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), located in Murrysville, Pennsylvania 15668, and the customer (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”).

By scheduling service, approving an estimate, or allowing work to begin, you agree to the terms below.

1. Services

We provide minor home repairs, maintenance, installations, assembly, carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and related handyman services. We do not perform major electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, or other licensed trade work. We are happy to refer trusted specialists when needed.

2. Scheduling, Trip Fee & Appointment Deposit

  • A $65 trip fee applies to work orders.

  • A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to schedule an appointment. This deposit is applied to your final invoice if you approve the work. If you do not approve the work after our visit, the $50 deposit is forfeited.

  • Appointments are scheduled at mutually agreed times. We make every effort to arrive on time.

3. Estimates

  • Photo and information-based estimates are provided as a good-faith estimate based on the details you supply.

  • On-site estimates are based on a visual inspection only unless otherwise noted.

  • Upon approval of an estimate, a 30% deposit is required before work begins. The balance is due upon completion.

  • Estimates are not guarantees. Final pricing may change if additional work is required (see Section 7).

4. Pricing & Fees

We bill on a time-and-materials basis with transparent pricing:

  • Labor: $165 for the first hour, $100 per hour thereafter (billed in reasonable increments).

  • Materials: Billed at our cost plus a 20–35% markup.

  • High ladder work: Additional charge of no less than $200 for 2 story work.

  • Disposal: $25 per contractor bag.

  • Other special conditions (e.g., difficult access) may incur additional charges.

All pricing is subject to the trip fee and any applicable deposits.

5. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due daily upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • We accept cash, check, credit/debit card, and tap-to-pay.

  • Unpaid balances are subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month (18% annual percentage rate) or the maximum rate allowed by Pennsylvania law, whichever is less, plus any collection costs.

6. Materials

You may supply your own materials. We do not warranty customer-supplied materials. If you prefer, we can purchase and deliver materials for an additional fee.

7. Additional Work & Change Orders

On-site quotes are based on visual inspection. If additional work is discovered, we will advise you verbally and provide an updated price at our standard rates. No additional work will be performed without your approval. Approved additional work will be added to the final invoice.

8. Warranty

We provide a one (1) year warranty on our labor and on materials we supply, covering defects in workmanship under normal use. This warranty does not cover:

  • Customer-supplied materials

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, or acts of nature

  • Normal wear and tear

Warranty claims must be reported promptly. We will repair, replace, or refund defective work at our option.

9. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations or reschedules with less than 24 hours’ notice result in forfeiture of any deposit paid.

10. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide safe and reasonable access to the work area

  • Secure pets and clear the work area as needed

  • Be available (or provide access) at the scheduled time

  • Approve or decline recommended work before we proceed

11. Insurance & Licensing

The Honest Handyman LLC is fully insured and licensed. Proof of insurance is available upon request.

12. Service Area

We serve Murrysville, Pennsylvania, and approximately a 30-mile radius. Travel beyond this area may be available by special arrangement.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from this Agreement shall first be addressed through good-faith discussion. If unresolved, the dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania law governs this Agreement.

14. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific work in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

15. Entire Agreement

This document constitutes the entire agreement between the parties regarding the services. Any changes must be in writing and approved by both parties.

Customer Acknowledgment

By scheduling an appointment, approving an estimate, or allowing work to begin, I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and agree to the terms of this Service Agreement.
