Home Maintenance Plan & Service Agreement
This Agreement is made between The Honest Handyman LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), located in Murrysville, PA, and you (“Customer”). By requesting, scheduling, or receiving any services, you agree to these terms.
1. Services
We provide general handyman and home repair services on a Time and Materials basis, as well as optional Recurring Maintenance Plans.Time and Materials Services
All general handyman work, repairs, installations, and maintenance outside of a maintenance plan is billed based on time spent and materials used.Recurring Maintenance Plans

Monthly Plan: One scheduled visit per month – $149.99 per month

Quarterly Plan: One scheduled visit every 3 months – $59.99 per month (billed monthly)
Labor for minor issues found during scheduled maintenance visits is included in the plan. Parts, materials, and work outside the plan scope are billed separately at our standard Time and Materials rates.
2. Pricing – Time and Materials

Labor Rate: $100 per hour (billed in 15-minute increments after the first hour).

Minimum Charge: 1 hour per visit (or 2 hours for jobs farther than 15 miles).

Materials: Billed at our cost plus industry standard 35% markup.

Travel Fee (if applicable): $45 one-way for jobs outside our primary service area.
3. Billing & Payment

Maintenance plans are billed monthly on a recurring basis via debit/credit card.

Monthly Plan: $149.99/month

Quarterly Plan: $59.99/month
-
Payments due on enrollment anniversary.

Late fee: 5% after 7 days. Services may be suspended.

All payments are non-refundable.

You authorize automatic charges and must keep payment information current.

General repairs/work outside the plan are invoiced separately and due upon completion unless otherwise agreed.
4. Scheduling & Access

We will schedule visits or jobs during normal business hours (Mon–Fri, 8 AM–5 PM).

You must provide safe, clear access to the work areas.

Less than 48 hours’ notice to reschedule: $50 fee.

We are not responsible for delays due to weather, traffic, or events beyond our control.
5. Exclusions & Limitations

This is not a home warranty or insurance policy.
Not covered (billed separately or declined): -
Major structural, roofing, plumbing, or electrical system replacements

Work requiring permits or specialized licensed trades
-
Emergency service (higher rates may apply)

Damage from misuse, neglect, acts of God, or pre-existing conditions
6. Cancellation & Termination

You may cancel your maintenance plan anytime via your member portal at THHPA.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. No refunds for partial months or completed visits/work.

We may terminate services immediately for non-payment, breach of this Agreement, unsafe conditions, or fraud. We may also cancel for any other reason with notice.

You remain responsible for all outstanding balances.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

Our total liability under this Agreement shall not exceed the total amount you have paid us in the last 12 months.

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages (including property damage, personal injury, loss of use, or lost income).

All services are provided “AS IS” with no express or implied warranties.
-
We are not liable for issues not discovered during routine visits or for failures that occur after work is completed.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims resulting from your failure to provide safe access or maintain the home.
8. Termination & General Provisions

Maintenance plans may be canceled anytime (effective at end of current billing cycle).

This Agreement, together with the work performed, constitutes the full agreement.

Governed by Pennsylvania law. Disputes will first attempt mediation, then binding arbitration in Westmoreland County, PA.

We are not responsible for delays due to weather, supply shortages, or events beyond our control.

By requesting or accepting services, you confirm you have read, understood, and agree to all terms.
9. Warranty

We warrant our labor to be free of defects in workmanship for 30 days after completion. This warranty is limited to labor only and does not cover materials or pre-existing issues. All claims must be submitted in writing within 30 days.
10. Limitation of Liability & Insurance

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific job (or last 12 months of maintenance fees).

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
We carry general liability insurance (proof available upon request).
